The Careers Conference program is full. Please consider submitting a session proposal for Careers Conference 2014. The 2014 Call for Proposals will be available in Spring 2013.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Please read before submitting your session proposal.

TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS

Concurrent Sessions offer the opportunity to present on a topic or program and discuss its relevance and applicability to colleagues and peers. Participants expect high quality presentations that provide information they can use to enhance their effectiveness or apply to their own work. Sessions are 60 or 75 minutes in length and AV technology is available.

Showcase Program Award Sessions are concurrent sessions that receive special recognition as exemplary or cutting-edge career development practices or programming. Programs must be operational for a minimum of two years and will be in operation at the time of the conference; have demonstrated measurable success with designated populations; and use a developmental guidance framework. As an attachment to your proposal, please send a file answering these questions: 1) Who does the program/practice serve and how has it been successful or effective? (include any assessment or research results) 2) With whom have you collaborated in the creation/adaptation of your program/practice? 3) Have you won any awards or received any recognition for your program/practice? 4) How could this program/practice be adapted to other groups or sites? Note: programs not selected as a Showcase Program will be considered for a Concurrent session.

Roundtable Sessions are informal sessions where participants are literally seated around the table for a short presentation and discussion. The presenter has 20 minutes to present his/her material, then participants move to another table. During one session slot, the presenter will give the presentation 3 times. No AV technology is available.
